Folk Townhouses
Exterior Lighting for a Car-Free Community in Saanich
At Richmond and Allenby in Saanich, Folk is rewriting what family townhouse living looks like on Vancouver Island. Four Peaks Power was proud to be the lighting electrician behind this nine-unit, car-free development by Urban Thrive, providing the exterior lighting and electrical infrastructure that brings the site to life after dark.
With no on-site resident parking, pathways are the main way people move through Folk, and shared green spaces are meant to be used well into the evening. That makes lighting more than decoration. Every fixture placement, angle and finish was chosen with pedestrians in mind, so the site feels safe, welcoming and intentional rather than institutional.
